20. Shopping area. How to equip?



In the store you need to highlight the shopping area. Its dimensions are determined by the size of the area of ​​the premises of the flower shop. It will need to make several areas for trade, including a refrigerator. 


It is good when the store has moving cubes or modules of different sizes (height - 200 cm, 35 * 35 or 40 * 40). At the same time, cubes are an inexpensive, convenient, original design element that can be used as a part of the designer, with which you can arrange the space of the entire store.

They can be turned over, moved in any order, put one on top of the other, used as legs for a table. Modules can be made of wood or plywood. You can place flowers on and inside cubes. They can store goods.  

Of the cubes, you can make podiums for the exhibition or use them as counters in the field trade. They are convenient to transport, they are well smoothed in any territory.

Modules can be repainted in the desired colors, they can be glued fabric, paper, postcards or newspapers.

In addition to cubes, different accessories (figurines, paintings, postcards), and interior items (watches, lamps, mirrors) will look good in a flower shop. Another option is shod, concrete or glass furniture - coasters, tables, bookcases on which floral arrangements and bouquets are placed. 

Furniture should not be very much. In a flower shop, it is used only as a stand for the main product and bears primarily functional, and then aesthetic meaning. The main task is to correctly place the flowers on the interior, arrange them so that they attract attention, and they would like to buy, buy flowers, not furniture.

All equipment of the flower shop should be simple without elaborate elements, as convenient as possible for work and ergonomic. The product must be located in compliance with the principles of colorization - this is the basic principle. 

It’s a good idea to place countertop-like tables that can be pulled out from under each other. Usually these are three or four tables of different sizes, one smaller than the other in height. You can put one table on another, arrange them in the right direction, beat their placement in every way and find options that are ideal for your store and flower delivery.

Do I need shelving?

One of the most popular product placement options is shelving made of different materials, differing in height. They are used to place goods, materials and various accessories on them.

Shelving is placed along the walls. But in order to advantageously place goods and interior items on them, you need to think through all the details. It all depends on the concept of the store and the volume of planned sales. Equipment is selected based on what will be sold in the store. In our case, these are potted flowers and cut plants. To determine how many racks you need to purchase, at the beginning, make up a list of the assortment of the store’s goods, and then think over the design of the racks, boxes for packaging and other items necessary for sales.
